Pastel Halloween

Ever since Lilly was 2 and I threw a costume swap party, I’ve planned little play dates every Halloween season. Now that Oliver is 4 and has his own friends, I’m splitting up the parties so it’s not too overwhelming. For his, I was going with a more traditional vibe and color palette. For Lilly’s, I wanted to do something different. When I saw these ombre plates, I had my inspo. I customized them with the girls name in gold paint pen.

I was looking for paper cups when I remembered I had these ombre ones from Sugar & Cloth that I bought years ago and this provided the perfect opportunity to bust them out. They were a huge hit with the girls who all chose which color they wanted. Bonus points because, unlike disposable cups, they’re environmentally friendly. And they elevate the traditional paper goods party a bit.

The plates and cups pair perfectly with these ombre ghost napkins.

The girls had already been to Halloween themed party earlier in the week and painted pumpkins so I wanted to do something different when it came to crafts. When I saw these ghost charms, I had my activity. I added boo and hats, fringe, color and letter beads and stretchy string.

But just because you’re not painting pumpkins doesn’t mean you can’t have any around- it’s still Halloween! I’m a sucker for white pumpkins and baby ones provided the perfect decor to sprinkle in throughout the colorful beads and charms in white dipping bowls (that I use over and over and over again for so many things).

Tattoos to match the decor? But of course!

Why stop there? Ghost cakesicles baked and decorated by bootleg Betty Crocker. But how cool are these iridescent acrylic popsicle sticks? They were worth all the mess!
