You Work For Me

Zach: We were at a meeting the other day and introduced ourselves and one of my colleagues said, “I work for Zach.” I said, “You don’t work for me, you work with me.” I may be their boss but we’re a team.

Nat: That’s nice, babe.

Zach: It’s true. I’m uncomfortable when people say that.

Nat: You’re a great boss. Most people don’t feel that way. They thrive on the power.

2 minutes later.

Nat: But, just to be clear, you absolutely work for me. And Lilly. You work for both of us.

Zach shakes his head and walks off.
