Most Embarrassing Mom Moment:

So many! The one that comes to mind is when I was breastfeeding Evelyn at home in LA, a delivery came to the door. I took the delivery, signed for it and passed the mirror in the foyer and realized that my boob was hanging out. That was super embarrassing.

Biggest Learning Curve of Motherhood: 

Exercising patience. Trying to go with the flow. I’m very scheduled. I like routine and motherhood is unpredictable. Chasing my daughter around for twenty minutes to get her clothes on… If we have to be somewhere at 1, I start the process at 11!

Biggest Mom Guilt: 

Feeling like I’m not able to spend equal amounts of time with both girls.

Go-To Mom Outfit:

Leggings and Converse. I’m trying not to become the Lululemon mom.

Favorite Moment of the Day:

Mornings. I bring Mabel into bed when she wakes up. She’s well rested. It’s a nice family cuddle time. And then it all goes downhill after that!

Daddy Duty: 

He does a bit of everything. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do. He’s super hands on. At the moment, Evelyn loves being picked up and toted around the house. She loves to see everything. Bruce is the guy. He’ll pick her up and walk around forever. He’s the toting around dad at the moment.

Turn On: 

When Bruce gets Mabel to sleep. It used to only be me who could do it. Now the tables have turned. And it’s nice to have a moment.

Turn Off: 

Where do I start? Filter, filter, filter… He’s very unpredictable. I’m a planner. He is not. It’s always, this is what we’re doing, we’ve planned it, here we are and now he’s changing the whole thing. It drives me a little cuckoo.

Date Night: 

Monday nights are date night. We do a lot of sushi. We try to start our date nights very early so I can be at home in bed by 9. Dinner or a movie. One or the other. We can’t do both. That takes too long!

Girls Night: 

It’s been so long but dinner. I love going to restaurants, having some wine, catching up. Just being able to talk.

Getaway:

Going to Turks & Caicos after New Years when everyone else has left the island. We’re lucky enough to be able to take our holiday after everyone else has gone back to work. My idea of a vacation isn’t sightseeing. I just wanna lie down!

Favorite Way to Unwind:

Online shopping. I’m really good at it. I’m a little obsessed with Gilt.com. I feel like I’m getting a deal!

DVR:

I don’t get to watch much TV anymore. We just DVRed the Golden Globes and we’re watching it in segments.

Splurge: 

Net-a-Porter.

Save: 

Any kind of sale, I’m there! That’s how I grew up. Find a bargain, use the coupons. I’m not using them any more cause that’s a commitment but my mom did it and was very good at it!
