… got their very own Guppies Grotto (My dad made the sign with scraps from his garage and then I painted it, saving on a $30-50 on a custom order from Etsy!) complete with…
…custom aprons from ToddleSmocks…
…an entire table of new themed puzzles: sea creatures peg and chunky, colorful fish and mix n’ match peg, mermaid dress-up and a high sea symphony music set…
We had another table full of mermaid, octopus, whale, wave lines, shell, seahorse, starfish and school of fish stamps, assorted ink pads and tons of craft paper…
After actually stamping, my little mermaid chose to paint hers.
There was also decorate your own mermaid kits and pirate chests (that are technically for 4+ but our guppies are advanced!).
The Melissa & Doug pirate chests come packaged in these adorable, sturdy, multi-functional boxes that we wrote their names on and will use for markers, stamps, hair accessories, little figurines… you name it! You could even have your kids decorate it too. Anchor favor bags with gold coins helped round out the theme.
And how adorable is this paper doll kit? I had such fun choosing the paper (included in the pack) for the mermaid dresses (we also had stuff for mermen!) and my little girl LOVED dressing them and choosing their hair color, etc. In fact, she’s made at least one a day, every day since then.
They’re so cute, I think I’ll frame some for her.
While the boys kept channeling their inner artists…
…the girls chose to play with rocks. Love that!
And, of course, there was no shortage of good girl chats.
Then it was party time!
Speaking of sweets, we also made sea themed sugar cookies and had all the materials to decorate them with the kids.
It was such a fun, creative and memorable day.
