Mermaid Sprinkle
We celebrated our fellow Foxes, Brooke, Hap and Gray, on the impending arrival of their baby girl. Given our surroundings and proximity to the sea, we chose a mermaid theme. Below, a fraction of the fun. Thanks, in large part, to our friends at Paper Source.
I love a good prep and planning sesh.
Craft letters that I spray painted gold.
Chevron table runner that I tripled up, paper globes, gold scallop cups…
…trend party fans, dot napkins, gold and trend confetti, mermaid sign, cast iron bottle opener…
…confetti coasters, xo napkins…
…confetti tumblers, metallic fans…
…craft market muslin bags with strawberry salt water taffy…
…and fringe party horns in mint and pink as favors.
I picked up some decorative storage baskets and signs from HomeGoods and flipped them over to use as risers. We also gave birth to little assistants and put them to work!
We served watermelon “pizza”…
…and nectarine and buratta crostini for everyone to snack on while the kids were still awake. We waited for them to go to bed for an adults only dinner of chicken skewers, shrimp salad lettuce wraps, fish tacos, corn and seasonal greens salads, all made by our talented friend Amanda.
Milk Bar Cake with vintage party number picks in their zip code for our Brooklyn brood.
If you haven’t tried this cake yet (or any of Milk Bar’s creations), you must. It’s seriously so good.
Pops in Prosecco, inspired from a favorite place of ours, placed on an upside down crate topped with gold dot paper.
And local, seasonal ale for the family who calls the other borough home.
Cupcakes with toppers for the kiddos, macaroons for the adults.
We gifted the babe-to-be a Harmony blabla doll and this sign– that we’ll write her name and birthdate on once she arrives- for her nursery, among other things.
The pups had to be included in the party too! Behold the Bark Booth.
Organic dog treats, cake pops, bowls and mat from Pet Smart. White tennis balls and aqua rubber balls from Amazon. Frame from HomeGoods.
Poor Brinkley ate her weight in treats. I can identify with a girl who doesn’t know restraint!
