Hilton Head
We’ve been going to Hilton Head, South Carolina for years as a family. My uncle owns a home there and some of my first vacation memories are from there. And Lilly’s first vacation, at 5 months, was there. So it was nice to go back with my crew (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, nephews, husband and daughter) to continue the tradition.
Everyone with kids knows, a vacation with kids is… interesting. So… not so many recommendations here, just a lot of family fun.
The Sea Pines area is my favorite and Sea Pines Resort is worthy of a visit. If you’re staying elsewhere, definitely check it out for a cocktail at Coast and dinner at Coast or Live Oak.
A southern staple: pimento cheese dip. Mmm.
The Salty Dog is an iconic spot for live music and signature souvenir T’s.
Shrimp and grits is a mandatory meal while in the low country.
Reunited with our cousins.
The Gregg Russell Playground is such a fun spot.
It’s located in Harbor Town near the legendary (striped) lighthouse, marina, restaurants and shops.
Bocce with Bunny.
Hello, room service?
It was a great week filled with lots of laughs- and memories.
One last beach run.
Her favorite part…
That is, until she got sugared up with s’mores.
Bye-bye ducks including her favorite, Donald, which she named.
See ya next time!
Love the picture of your mom and all the grandkids!
