I’m not a big cruise person. My parents are.

Years ago, they invited my then-boyfriend, now-husband, and me on an Alaskan cruise and I’m so glad we said yes. It’s one of my favorite trips to date. We traveled on Princess Cruises, went in August (the perfect time to weather and witness the 49th state’s majesty), visited Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan and made life-changing memories.

I debated posting these pics because the quality is low (Eight years ago my camera game was as poor as these images!) but even in its blurry beauty, Alaska is a gem worthy of seeing.

One of the cooler things I’ve done in my life was taking a helicopter into a glacier (!) and dog sledding once there. Unforgettable.
